Bachelor in Mass Communication

Introduction

The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Langat Singh, Muzaffarpur was established in 2010. The students are working in various newspapers, magazines, radio stations and television channels, our students are also active in the fields of public relation and advertising. Bachelor of mass communication has been taking up various projects to create awareness among the students and general public about various social issues. Currently the students are making the short film on Planetarium established during 1914-1916 which has now the heritage value for the institution and society as it is one of the oldest planetariums in India. Besides Planetarium, the students are also making a short film on Observatory that was functional during early 20th century which has heritage value too. The Department takes great pride in sharing that the students produced by this Department are serving almost all the media today. They are working in leading newspapers like Hindustan, Dainik Jagran, Prabhat Khabar etc., and many more as Editors, News Editors, Sub-Editors and Correspondents etc. The number of our students working in leading television and radio channels has increased tremendously during the last decade. Many are working on very important posts in Indian Information Services and in State Government's Department of Public Relations.
